About the Conference

The 2027 CEPA Annual Online Conference will highlight the evolving landscape of clinical exercise physiology through a dynamic, symposium-style program. Featuring four expert-led invited presentations and a compelling closing keynote, the conference will dive deep into evidence-based practice and clinical application. Key focus areas for this year include resistance training in the management of respiratory disease, the critical role of sleep in patient health, the latest strategies for neurological disorders, and exercise programming for individuals with Type 1 Diabetes.

Call for Abstracts

Showcase your research or clinical case study and contribute to the advancement of clinical exercise physiology. Submissions are reviewed by the Conference Planning Committee for scientific and clinical merit, as well as quality of presentation.

Submission Details

Abstracts must address a topic within clinical exercise physiology. Previously presented abstracts may be eligible under CEPA's submission rules; review the submission instructions for complete eligibility requirements.

$10 CEPA members · $20 non-members

Accepted abstracts receive free conference registration.

Abstract Guidelines & Submission

Present Your Work

Authors selected for oral presentations will submit a 10-minute recorded slide presentation highlighting the clinical application of their research or case study.

Accepted abstracts will be featured in the conference program and published in the Journal of Clinical Exercise Physiology. Recorded presentations will be available to conference registrants.

Early Investigator Award

Eligible early investigators may be invited to present remotely to the Conference Award Committee during the week before the conference. The selected award recipient will receive $250 from CEPA.

Important Information

Abstract Review

Submissions undergo blinded review by members of the Conference Planning Committee. Corresponding authors are notified of acceptance by email.

Publication & Presentations

Accepted abstracts are included in the CEPA Annual Meeting program and published in the Journal of Clinical Exercise Physiology. Selected oral presentations are provided as recorded videos.
