ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Dr. Morelli (Welch) is an exercise physiologist whose overall research program is to promote physical activity among cancer survivors, with an emphasis on preventing or managing chronic disease symptoms and side effects among cancer survivors. She is particularly interested in setting the foundation to move beyond the “one size, fits all” physical activity prescription and developing tailored, personalized physical activity prescriptions for cancer survivors based on their personal, social, emotional, and physical circumstances.

Dr. Morelli (Welch) completed her BS and MS degrees at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and earned her PhD in Exercise Physiology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the NCI-funded T32 training program in cancer prevention and survivorship and was appointed to a faculty position in 2019. In 2022, she was recruited to the Medical College of Wisconsin where she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a primary member of the Cancer Center.
